Italian Defense Minister Guido Crosetto responded to the criticism by asserting that Italy’s governmental appointments are made exclusively with the interests of Rome in mind. Crosetto emphasized that these decisions are independent of external geopolitical pressures from Moscow, Kyiv, or Washington.
