Moscow threatened to bomb Kyiv in response to Ukrainian attacks during the elections in Russia

Russia held three-day legislative elections for the State Duma, with early projections indicating that President Vladimir Putin's party, United Russia, is the projected winner. The electoral process concluded on Sunday with the closure of polling stations and the release of initial exit poll data.

Simultaneously, the Russian government accused Ukraine of conducting an unprecedented aerial offensive against Moscow and other regions during the voting period. In response to these attacks, which Moscow characterized as an attempt to disrupt the electoral process, Russian officials have threatened to conduct retaliatory bombardments against Kyiv.
