The Public Prosecutor's Office has opted to negotiate in almost all corruption cases

Over the past five years, the Public Ministry in the Dominican Republic has chosen to negotiate and sign agreements with defendants in nearly all administrative corruption cases brought before the courts.

While this widespread practice has faced questioning and criticism from certain sectors of society, it remains the predominant approach utilized by the primary actors within the country's judicial system.
