Recounting the incident, Ahmed said he was repeatedly mocked by a fellow actor who is around 40 years younger than him. Without naming the individual, he claimed the actor made personal remarks about his appearance in front of the cast and crew. "I know I am bald, tanned and short," Ahmed said, adding that he is comfortable joking about his own appearance.
However, he questioned how it feels when such comments come from a much younger colleague in a professional environment. According to Ahmed, the actor also made loud remarks about his leather bag and referred to a past occasion when Ahmed had assessed his acting abilities early in his career. Ahmed said he had once recommended the actor to a producer, believing he had potential, and the drama they worked on became successful.
The veteran actor alleged that during another project together, the younger actor continued making disparaging comments, questioning why Ahmed was still being cast and joking that he always acted the same and had the same hairstyle. Ahmed further claimed that the actor took a handheld fan from a female co-star, held it over his head like a hairdryer and publicly mocked his hairstyle in front of others on set.
