Presiden Bersatu Muhyiddin Yassin menggesa pengundi Negeri Sembilan supaya tidak mudah terpedaya dengan hubungan BN-PN, sambil menyifatkannya sekadar percaturan politik menjelang pilihan raya negeri.PETALING JAYA: Presiden Bersatu Muhyiddin Yassin menyifatkan kerjasama antara Barisan Nasional (BN) dan Perikatan Nasional (PN) tidak akan bertahan lama.Bekas perdana menteri itu menjangkakan Umno akan kembali mencabar penguasaan PAS di negeri-negeri utara apabila tiba masanya.Muhyiddin mendakwa kemesraan yang ditunjukkan PAS terhadap Umno ketika ini hanyalah untuk mengelak pertindihan kerusi dan kepentingan kedua-duanya tidak bertembung dalam pilihan raya.“(PAS mahu) Umno ambil iktibar daripada pilihan raya ini, dia tak lawan dengan PAS di negeri-negeri di utara.“Tapi ingatlah, saya percaya Umno akan melanggar juga dia (PAS),” katanya Muhyiddin, menurut Utusan Malaysia.Presiden Bersatu itu turut menggesa pengundi di Negeri Sembilan supaya tidak mudah terpedaya dengan hubungan yang kelihatan mesra antara BN dan PN, sambil menyifatkannya sekadar percaturan politik menjelang pilihan raya negeri.Di bawah kerjasama pilihan raya bagi PRN Negeri Sembilan, BN bertanding di 25 kerusi manakala PN bertanding di baki 11 kerusi.Bersatu pula bertanding di 24 kerusi menggunakan logo sendiri walaupun merupakan parti komponen PN. Hubungan parti itu dengan PAS merosot selepas PAS mengambil alih jawatan pengerusi PN, sebelum akhirnya menamatkan kerjasama politik dengan Bersatu pada bulan lalu. But mark my words, I believe Umno will still clash (with PAS)."While they're hugging and kissing in Negeri Sembilan, they will have issues after that because this situation will not repeat in the states in the north," he said.He urged Negeri Sembilan voters not to be misled by the apparent cordial ties between BN and PN, describing it as merely political manoeuvring for the state polls.Under their electoral pact, BN is contesting 25 seats while PN is vying for the remaining 11 in the Negeri Sembilan election on Aug 1.Bersatu is contesting 24 seats on its own despite being a PN component. Its ties with PAS deteriorated swiftly after the Islamic party took over chairmanship of PN, with PAS eventually ending its political cooperation with Bersatu last month.PAS leads the Kedah, Kelantan and Terengganu governments while BN has only one assemblyman in Kelantan and none in the other two states.PAS also used to lead the Perlis government, where it won nine seats for PN during the 2022 election. BN does not have any state seat in Perlis.BN also does not hold a single parliamentary seat in Kedah, Kelantan, Terengganu or Perlis.
