Woman attacked in La Vega had a prior order against her attacker

Nayely Altagracia Capellán survived a near-fatal attack in La Vega, Dominican Republic, which her mother states was the result of an ongoing abusive relationship characterized by previous threats and mistreatment. According to the victim's mother, the family had previously sought legal intervention in 2023, successfully obtaining a protection order from the Prosecutor's Office against the aggressor.
