Woman attacked in La Vega had a prior order against her attacker

Nayely Altagracia Capellán was the victim of a severe attack in La Vega, Dominican Republic, which left her in critical condition. Her mother reports that the incident was not an isolated event but the culmination of a history of abuse and threats within the relationship.

According to the victim's family, they had previously sought intervention from the Public Prosecutor's Office in 2023. Despite obtaining a restraining order against the aggressor at that time, the violence continued, ultimately leading to the recent life-threatening assault.
