Mulino declares himself against the Municipal Police of the capital district

Panamanian President José Raúl Mulino has publicly expressed his opposition to the new municipal police model introduced by the Mayor's Office of Panama in the country's capital district. Mulino stated that he hopes the initiative will be officially reversed.

The president's remarks coincide with a period in which the conduct and operations of the municipal police force have once again come under public scrutiny and questioning.
