Multiple homicide in Edomex: Camilo Séptimo keyboardist, his pregnant wife, a child, and other family members murdered

Jonathan Samuel Meléndez, a keyboardist and founding member of the band Camilo Séptimo, was killed alongside his family on September 2, 2024, inside a residence in Atizapán de Zaragoza, State of Mexico. The victims, who included his pregnant wife, a three-year-old child, and another woman, were found in a penthouse located in the Bosques Esmeralda area. Authorities are investigating the circumstances surrounding the multihomicide, which involved the use of firearms.

Reports indicate that the victims were bound during the incident. Prior to the event, Meléndez had reportedly expressed concerns to an acquaintance regarding a meeting with a business associate, suggesting potential underlying tensions or threats leading up to the tragedy.
