Murder suspect fatally shot by police in Manchester

MANCHESTER, Jamaica — A man who police say was wanted for the murder of a shopkeeper and on bail for another homicide was fatally shot on Wildman Street in Christiana, Manchester, Monday afternoon. Police identified him by his alias, 'Richie'. Preliminary reports are that about 3:15 pm police, acting on intelligence, went to a bar on Wildman Street in search of the murder suspect when they were confronted by an armed man.

Police said the man was fatally shot and a firearm was seized. Police said the suspect was on bail for the September 4, 2024 murder of 29-year-old Romario White at a bar in Christiana, Manchester.
