Jackie, a famous bald eagle whose life was followed live by millions of people for over a decade from her nest in the mountains of California, died on Monday. Her death occurred following three weeks of medical treatment at the Ojai Raptor Center.

Her passing was officially confirmed by her caregivers, marking the end of a widely observed era for the raptor, who had captured a massive global audience through continuous live streaming of her nesting habits over the course of 11 years.
