Prichard Colón, the Puerto Rican boxer who spent eleven years in a wheelchair after receiving illegal blows in a fight, has died.

The Puerto Rican boxer Prichard Colón died on Thursday at the age of 33, eleven years after suffering irreversible brain damage. The injuries were the result of a match in which he received repeated illegal blows to the back of the head, leaving him confined to a wheelchair for more than a decade until his death.
