NATO jets down drone over Lithuania and Russian ship fires flares at Danish helicopter

NATO fighter jets shot down an unidentified drone that entered Lithuanian airspace overnight, according to officials on Tuesday. The incident occurred a day after the head of the alliance reaffirmed that military strikes close to NATO territory would only strengthen its support for Ukraine in its ongoing war against Russia.

Separately, in a concurrent maritime incident reported in connection with the region's heightened tensions, a Russian ship fired flares at a Danish helicopter.
