NCAA hands Tennessee star LB Arion Carter two game suspension over flight during NFL pre-draft process

The NCAA has suspended Tennessee senior linebacker Arion Carter for the first two games of the upcoming season. The penalty stems from Carter accepting a $427 flight paid for by an agent to visit an NFL training facility during the pre-draft process after he had declared for the NFL draft.

The decision will sideline Tennessee's top returning defender for the start of the season. In response to the ruling, the university is protesting the NCAA's decision.
