“We need to achieve competitiveness”: the plea of Buenos Aires SMEs in the face of falling sales and high costs

Small and medium-sized industrial businesses in the province of Buenos Aires are facing a severe decline in sales accompanied by persistently high operational costs. This economic pressure is significantly complicating the ability of these enterprises to meet their financial obligations, including the payment of employee salaries, taxes, credit dues, and other fixed expenses.

In response to these conditions, representatives of the regional manufacturing sector have publicly emphasized an urgent need to achieve business competitiveness. The combination of a shrinking buyer base and elevated costs threatens the operational viability of these companies across the province.
