Nepal flood survivors return to ruins to salvage memories

Survivors of devastating Himalayan floods have returned to the ruins of their village in Nepal to salvage what remains of their memories and belongings. The village of Dhunge, which was previously home to approximately 150 families, has been reduced to a swampy expanse characterized by an ominous rotting stench.

The settlement in Dhunge is among dozens of communities that were completely obliterated by the recent flooding disaster in the region, leaving affected residents to confront the total destruction of their homes and livelihoods.
