Nepal floods: Death toll climbs to 1,355 as rescue efforts continue; nearly 5,000 still missing

Severe flooding across eight districts in Nepal has resulted in 1,355 confirmed fatalities. Rescue operations are currently underway, with 13,396 individuals successfully rescued to date. Despite these efforts, 4,996 people remain unaccounted for, including at least 589 foreign nationals.

To manage the ongoing crisis, over 21,000 security personnel have been deployed to the affected regions. Search and rescue teams continue to operate in the impacted areas as authorities work to locate the missing and provide assistance to those affected by the disaster.
