Nepal rescue focused on workers trapped in three tunnels

Rescue operations are currently underway in Nepal to reach workers trapped inside three hydropower tunnels following a glacier collapse on August 26. The incident occurred near the Nepal-China border, where the collapse triggered a surge of debris and mud into the river system.

The disaster impacted at least 11 hydropower projects, burying tunnel entrances and obstructing access to those inside. Authorities are focused on clearing the debris to reach the trapped individuals as the situation remains critical.
