Nepal’s diplomatic reach narrows as key envoy vacancies drag on

Nepal is currently facing a narrowing of its diplomatic reach as vacancies and transitions in ambassadorial posts drag on across multiple countries. Specifically, ambassadorial positions in 21 countries remain either vacant or in a state of transition.

This ongoing delay in filling the key diplomatic roles has constrained Nepal's access to senior foreign officials. Furthermore, it has directly impaired the nation's capacity to advance its critical political, economic, and strategic interests abroad.
