Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu has extended an official invitation to Captain Smit Machchhar, an Indian pilot for flydubai, to visit Israel as a guest of honor. The invitation follows the pilot's actions during a Tel Aviv-bound flight, where he successfully managed the aircraft after it was reportedly attacked, preventing a potential disaster.
Netanyahu publicly commended Captain Machchhar for his courage and composure under extreme conditions. The Prime Minister has also invited Indian Prime Minister Narendra Modi to attend the ceremony honoring the pilot.
