Newborn baby found abandoned in supermarket bathroom; mother in custody

A woman is in custody after a newborn baby was found abandoned in a supermarket bathroom.WABC reports a 32-year-old ShopRite employee was identified as the mother of a child found inside the restroom at the grocery store chain’s White Plains, New York, location. Police said she gave birth around 11 p.m. on Saturday and left her newborn baby boy in the employee bathroom of the City Center ShopRite.
