Nigeria: Amnesty Demands Independent Probe Into Deaths of Miners in Niger

Amnesty International has formally requested an independent investigation into the deaths of 37 individuals in Niger State, Nigeria. The deceased were identified as suspected illegal miners who had been held in the custody of the Nigeria Security and Civil Defence Corps (NSCDC).
