UPDATE : Evacuation orders , alerts to remain as Quilpituk Creek wildfire slows

Existing evacuation orders and alerts remain in place for the Quilpituk Creek wildfire on the west side of Okanagan Lake, despite the fire activity slowing down. Central Okanagan Emergency Management confirmed that current restrictions continue to affect thousands of properties in the region.

The measures impact a significant number of residents in the affected wildfire zone, maintaining 2,223 properties under evacuation orders and 425 properties under evacuation alerts. Authorities and the BC Wildfire Service have kept these safety protocols active as the operational response to the wildfire continues.
