No pupil will be left out – but he/ she may end up in a school “outside desired area”

Officials in Portugal have announced that while every student will be accommodated in the school system, some pupils may be placed in institutions outside of their desired geographic area.

The measure is driven by widespread capacity constraints within the educational infrastructure, as many schools are currently overcrowded, have exceeded maximum class sizes, operate on split shifts, or have had to create additional classes to manage student volume.
