Norway repatriates 69 Russians from ship seized in Arctic

Norwegian authorities have successfully repatriated 69 Russian citizens who were left stranded in the Arctic region. The repatriation effort followed the legal seizure of their vessel, the Professor Molchanov, by Norwegian authorities acting in accordance with a local court order.

The ship was detained after a formal demand was lodged by Naftogaz, the Ukrainian state energy group. The intervention by Norwegian authorities facilitated the return of the stranded crew and personnel from the Arctic following the court-mandated seizure.
