Nueva EPS should allocate $200 billion pesos released from liens to address the earthquake emergency, the Attorney General's Office stated.

Following the earthquake on August 10, the Procuraduría General de la Nación has urged Nueva EPS to allocate over 200,000 million pesos, which were recently released from attachments, toward emergency healthcare response and patient care for its affiliates in the affected regions. This directive comes as part of broader governmental actions to address the disaster, which led the administration of Abelardo De La Espriella to activate an economic emergency across 15 affected departments for a period of 30 days, granting the government decree powers to secure necessary financing.

The measure aims to ensure immediate resource availability for the health system's response to the crisis. The economic emergency framework provides a legal mechanism for the state to mobilize funds and implement rapid recovery measures across the impacted territories.
