New Penal Code: the 43 modifications that transform justice in the Dominican Republic

Law 74-25, establishing the Dominican Republic's new Penal Code, enters into force on Monday, August 3. The legislation introduces 43 modifications aimed at transforming the national justice system.

According to the provisions of the new code, the modifying law takes effect simultaneously, with the exception of corporate criminal liability. The application of criminal liability for companies has been deferred for a period of three months.
