New COE director: Erdwin Robert Olivares Luciano assumes the position

President Luis Abinader of the Dominican Republic has appointed Erdwin Robert Olivares Luciano as the new director of the Emergency Operations Center (COE). The appointment was formalized through Decree 551-26, issued on Sunday, August 16.

Olivares Luciano succeeds Juan Manuel Méndez García in the role. The transition marks a change in leadership for the agency responsible for coordinating emergency response efforts across the country.
