Bishop Jesús Castro Marte proposes solutions for Dominican education

Bishop Jesús Castro Marte has publicly proposed emergency solutions to address challenges within the Dominican Republic's education system. Specifically, he called upon the government, religious institutions, private businesses, social organizations, and property owners to temporarily convert alternative spaces—such as hotels, warehouses, and other available facilities—into classrooms.

The appeal was issued in response to a pressing risk that students could otherwise be left without adequate physical space for their education. By mobilizing diverse sectors of society to repurpose existing infrastructure, the proposal aims to prevent classroom shortages and ensure continued access to learning environments.
