ODM MP fronts Bill making NYS training compulsory after Form Four

Lang’ata Member of Parliament Phelix Odiwuor, also known as Jalang’o, has announced plans to reintroduce a legislative bill that would make training at the National Youth Service (NYS) mandatory for all students upon the completion of their secondary education. The proposed mandate would apply to all students who have finished Form Four.

The legislator argues that requiring participation in the NYS program would serve to instill discipline and patriotism in the country's youth. Additionally, the bill aims to provide students with practical skills following their secondary schooling.
