NewzMany thanks to Brent Larkin for his July 26 column, “Most believe truth and decency matter. Ramaswamy isn’t one.” In this piece, he details the lies Ramaswamy repeatedly tells in his ads against Amy Acton. The essay is well worth the read, as it explains away the nonsense that Ramaswamy spouts.
The lies are many, and the TV ad runs a lot. I find myself appalled that, while lies are protected “free speech,” the networks repeatedly allow them. Well, the day came that I was in a room with my grandkids when one of those ads ran.
The 13-year-old said, “Oh, you should not vote for her!” And I quickly explained exactly why Amy Acton is the best candidate. What I had a really hard time explaining was why those lies are allowed to fill the airwaves.
