Saudi Arabia, other Muslim countries condemn Houthi attempt to attack Makkah

On Tuesday, a Houthi drone was launched toward the holy city of Makkah in Saudi Arabia, prompting strong condemnation from Saudi authorities and the wider international Muslim community on Wednesday. Saudi Arabia labeled the incident a "cowardly" and "terrorist attack" that violates and targets holy sites, characterizing it as a continuation of previous Houthi practices.

In response to the escalation, the Organisation of Islamic Cooperation (OIC) General Secretariat joined other Muslim nations in condemning the drone incident, alongside attacks targeting the Madinah region. The OIC described the events as "heinous attacks" and noted that the ongoing aggression against Saudi Arabia serves to instill fear in innocent populations.
