Olympic flame arrives in Senegal for the first Olympic event to be held in Africa

The Olympic flame has arrived in Dakar, Senegal, marking the countdown to the upcoming Youth Olympic Games. The arrival represents a historic milestone as the first time an Olympic sporting event will be held on the African continent.

Celebrations in the capital on Saturday featured traditional music and dancing to welcome the flame. Festivities also included a ceremonial march by 100 women to commemorate the occasion.
