Oman says the oil spill from a grounded tanker has reached its coastline

Oil leaking from a tanker grounded off the coast of Oman has reached the country's mainland beaches. Oman’s environment authority confirmed on Wednesday that the spill has moved beyond the immediate vicinity of the grounded vessel, impacting coastal areas located to the north of a nearby island that was already under threat.
