Tropical wave forms in the Atlantic and poses no threat to the Dominican Republic

The United States National Hurricane Center (NHC) reported on Monday that a tropical wave originating off the western coast of Africa is beginning to organize as it moves across the Atlantic. Forecasters have increased the probability of cyclone formation associated with this system to 60 percent over the next seven days.

Despite the ongoing development of the disturbance, current projections indicate that the system does not pose an immediate threat to the Dominican Republic. Authorities continue to monitor the progress of the wave as it tracks across the ocean.
