One crore homes completed and delivered under PM scheme: Government

The government has announced the successful completion and delivery of over one crore urban houses under the Pradhan Mantri Awas Yojna (PMAY) since the scheme's inception. This milestone highlights significant progress in the country's housing development sector.

Since the program began in 2015, a total of 1.25 crore houses have received approval. Of these, nearly one crore homes have been specifically allocated to women, underscoring the gender-inclusive focus of the housing initiative.

In addition to the completed units, the government has further expanded the housing framework with the introduction of PMAY-Urban 2.0, which has incorporated over 2.09 lakh additional housing provisions to continue addressing urban housing needs.
