Albalat meets with the Colombian community residing in the Valencian Community to learn about their needs after the earthquake

Representatives from the Valencian Coordinator of NGOs and the regional government have mobilized to address the aftermath of the recent earthquake in Colombia. Elena Albalat, the Valencian Minister of Social Services, Family and Childhood, met with leaders of eleven organizations representing the Colombian community in the Valencian region to identify specific needs and concerns following the disaster.

In tandem with these governmental efforts, the Valencian Coordinator of NGOs has issued a call for increased international support to aid in the recovery process. The organization emphasized the necessity of a coordinated global response to assist both those directly impacted in Colombia and the diaspora community currently residing in the Valencian region.
