Ousted Bangladeshi PM’s daughter resigns as WHO regional head after fraud allegations

Saima Wazed, the World Health Organization’s regional director for Southeast Asia and daughter of former Bangladeshi Prime Minister Sheikh Hasina, resigned from her position on Wednesday. Her departure follows the initiation of fraud investigations by both the United Nations agency and Bangladeshi authorities.
