Pacific churches reject U.S. call to end UN decolonisation mandate

The Pacific Conference of Churches (PCC) has formally rejected a call by the United States to terminate the mandate of the United Nations Special Committee on Decolonization.

In its rejection, the regional church organization cautioned that ending the mandate would directly undermine the fundamental right of Pacific peoples to determine their own political futures.
