Painting bought for $53 turns out to be lost artwork worth $2.4m

An estate sale bargain hunter has discovered a lost painting worth an estimated $2.4 million after purchasing the artwork for just $53.

The discovery was made possible by a barely visible signature on the canvas. Prior to this find, the artwork had remained unseen by the public for nearly 75 years.
