Pakistan says airstrikes in Afghanistan kill 28 militants; Kabul reports 3 civilians killed

On Monday, Pakistani fighter jets carried out airstrikes targeting suspected militant hideouts in the eastern Afghan border provinces of Kunar and Paktika. Pakistani officials stated that the operation resulted in the deaths of 28 militants.

In contrast, authorities in Kabul reported that the strikes caused civilian casualties, stating that at least three civilians were killed. According to German broadcaster DW, the military action occurred shortly after an attack on police forces in Kohat, Pakistan.
