Scott McLaughlin of Team Penske secured the pole position for the final IndyCar race of the season at the Laguna Seca circuit in California. Alex Palou, representing Chip Ganassi, qualified in second place for the event.

The race serves as the concluding competition of the current IndyCar season. The qualifying results position both drivers at the front of the grid for the upcoming final test of the year.
