Panama: 1,700 soldiers from 21 countries deployed for Canal protection exercise

The multinational military exercise Panamax 2026 commenced on Monday in Panama, involving the deployment of 1,700 soldiers from 21 countries.

The 11-day exercises are designed to strengthen the protection of the interoceanic Panama Canal and include simultaneous military operations conducted in both the Pacific Ocean and the Caribbean.
