Paramount's Warner Bros. bid and threat to leave California divide Hollywood

Paramount has proposed an $111 billion merger with Warner Bros. Discovery, a massive corporate consolidation that has sharply divided Hollywood and prompted a legal challenge from California's attorney general alongside officials from 11 other states.

In response to the antitrust lawsuit aimed at blocking the transaction, Paramount Skydance CEO David Ellison issued a threat to relocate company operations out of the state of California if the deal fails to move forward.
