Paramount Skydance closes purchase of Warner Bros Discovery for $110 billion

Paramount and Skydance finalized the acquisition of Warner Bros. Discovery on Tuesday in a transaction valued at approximately 110 billion dollars. The deal, which includes the assumption of debt, marks the conclusion of a complex merger process and results in the formation of a new large-scale media entity operating under the name Skydance.

The consolidation creates a significant new player in the global entertainment industry. While the base valuation of the acquisition is reported at 81 billion dollars, the total figure reaches 110 billion dollars when accounting for the debt obligations involved in the transaction.
