In the community of El Cajama, located in the Havana municipality of La Lisa, a Cuban couple has transformed an overgrown residential yard into a domestic garden. Facing ongoing food shortages, Yoandra Casalis and Manuel González cleared the weed-covered terrain to establish a productive huerto.

The newly cultivated plot now serves as a local source of sustenance, providing essential food items directly from their home property as a practical response to supply challenges within the area.
