Türkiye's Parliament speaker calls for release of Tunisia's Ghannouchi

On Thursday, Turkish Parliament Speaker Numan Kurtulmuş called for the release of imprisoned Tunisian opposition leader Rached Ghannouchi. In addition to demanding his freedom, the Turkish official urged Tunisian authorities to provide Ghannouchi with adequate medical care.

Ghannouchi, a prominent figure in Tunisian politics and the leader of the opposition, is currently being held in jail by Tunisian authorities amid ongoing political tensions in the North African nation.
