According to data from the Federal Commission of Trade (FTC), scams in the United States reached a record high in 2025, with Americans losing USD 15.900 billion. This figure represents a 25% increase compared to the losses recorded in 2024.

In addition to the record-breaking financial losses, the reported data indicates that the majority of these scam victims do not receive help and face the risk of losing even more money.
