NewzA restaurant dispute that stretched on for more than two hours ended with police using a Taser on a 35-year-old man who refused to leave.Richard James Scott called himself the son of God before he was finally handcuffed and arrested. He appeared in bond court Sunday afternoon.Cellphone video captured the moment police used a Taser on Scott outside Primo’s restaurant.“It was a bad time for our people, for my employee, especially for the customers,” said Ugo Patierno, the restaurant’s chef operations manager.Patierno said Scott tried to pay for a couple of drinks with a fake credit card before telling him to charge it to his room. But the number Scott gave for the room was also fake: 666.“He said, ‘I’m the son of God.
So this is my room, you can charge on my room.’ I laughed the first time,” Patierno said.Patierno said Scott eventually became aggressive, yelling at him and the staff. They asked him to leave, but he refused, and police were called.That started a prolonged interaction with police before Scott finally got up and walked out of the hotel restaurant.Outside, he tried to get into a Rolls-Royce that wasn’t his. That’s when police had had enough and used a Taser.Scott was taken to jail, where he was booked on trespassing and disorderly conduct charges.He appeared in bond court Sunday afternoon, where a judge set his bond at $650.Scott was also ordered to stay away from the hotel and restaurant.

For 10 years now, Peanut Butter Jelly Project Founder Brooke Waltzer has been lightening the load for families in need.“Some of these lists that they get are $250-300 for the whole school year,” she said. “Sometimes that means paying a light bill or getting your kids school supplies that they need.”To go along with the new school supplies, changes are coming to the breakfast and lunch menu at school in Broward and Miami-Dade counties.The universal free lunch programs has ended for many students, as only 141 Broward schools will offer free lunch while in Miami-Dade, only 121 schools will continue with free lunch.
For campuses that don’t qualify, parents will need to submit an application to determine whether their child can receive free lunch. Passengers were temporarily deplaned from a flight at Miami International Airport on Sunday evening after a flight attendant reported possible suspicious activity involving passengers, authorities said.Miami-Dade Sheriff’s Office Airport District deputies responded to one of the gates at about 6:40 p.m. to investigate.The investigation determined there was no credible threat, according to MDSO.The two people involved were rebooked on another flight.
The aircraft was cleared, passengers were allowed to reboard and the flight continued without further incident.No further information was available.
