Quadrant patrolling still has 149 pending zones

The new Police Service and Patrolling Model (MSPP) in the Dominican Republic, a core component of ongoing police reform aimed at transforming police-citizen relations, has yet to achieve its full territorial deployment. Out of the 355 planned operational quadrants, only 206 are currently active, leaving 149 zones pending implementation.

Designed as a key strategic axis for institutional transformation, the patrolling model's incomplete rollout highlights current logistical and operational challenges in covering the designated areas as originally scheduled.
